DESCRIPTION
Ventolin Evohaler (Salbutamol Sulfate) 100 Micrograms – 200 Metered Actuations
Ventolin Evohaler is a fast-acting bronchodilator inhaler containing salbutamol sulfate. It is used for the rapid relief and prevention of bronchospasm associated with asthma and other reversible obstructive airway diseases. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, allowing them to open quickly and making breathing easier within minutes.
Key Benefits
- Provides rapid relief from asthma symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
- Helps prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm.
- Relieves reversible airway narrowing in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
- Starts working within a few minutes.
- Portable metered-dose inhaler for convenient use whenever needed.
Key Ingredients
- Salbutamol Sulfate – A short-acting β2-adrenergic agonist (SABA) that relaxes airway smooth muscle, helping to open the airways and improve breathing.
- HFA-134a Propellant – A chlorofluorocarbon (CFC)-free propellant used to deliver the medication.
Key Features
- Strength: 100 micrograms per actuation
- Size: 200 metered actuations
- Product Type: Pressurized Metered-Dose Inhaler (pMDI)
- Suitable for adults and children as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
- Fast-acting rescue inhaler.
- CFC-free formulation using HFA-134a propellant.
- Manufactured by GSK.
How to Use
- Shake the inhaler well before each use.
- Remove the mouthpiece cover and check that the mouthpiece is clean.
- Breathe out gently, place the mouthpiece between your lips, and begin to breathe in slowly while pressing the canister once.
- Continue to breathe in deeply, then hold your breath for about 10 seconds or as long as comfortable before exhaling.
- If more than one inhalation is prescribed, wait about 30 seconds before repeating.
- Use exactly as directed by your healthcare professional. If you need to use your rescue inhaler more frequently than usual, consult your doctor, as this may indicate that your asthma is not adequately controlled.
