Twynsta 80/10 mg & 80/5 mg | Powerful Combination Therapy for High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)

Twynsta is a fixed-dose combination medication used for the treatment of essential hypertension.

Active Ingredients:

 1. Telmisartan (80 mg) – an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps relax blood vessels by blocking the hormone responsible for narrowing them.

 2. Amlodipine (10 mg or 5 mg) – a calcium channel blocker (CCB) that further relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

The dual action of Telmisartan and Amlodipine in Twynsta provides comprehensive and sustained blood pressure control, reducing the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and long-term cardiovascular complications.

Indications:

 • Management of essential hypertension in adults

 • Recommended for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy

 • Helps reduce cardiovascular risk in hypertensive patients

 Available Strengths:

 • Twynsta 80/10 mg – higher dose of amlodipine for stronger blood pressure control

 • Twynsta 80/5 mg – moderate dosage, ideal for starting treatment or milder cases

Dosage is determined based on patient condition and physician recommendation.

Dosage & Administration:

 • Take one tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day

 • Can be taken with or without food

 • Do not adjust the dose or discontinue without medical advice

Warnings & Precautions:

 • Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding

 • Use with caution in patients with:

 • Kidney or liver impairment

 • Heart failure

 • Low blood pressure (hypotension)

 • Monitor blood pressure regularly during treatment
