Proton (manufactured by SPIMACO) is an oral delayed-release, gastric antisecretory medication formulated with Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate, available in two clinical strengths: 20 mg (low/maintenance dose) and 40 mg (standard therapeutic dose). As a second-generation substituted benzimidazole and irreversible Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI), it accumulates selectively inside the acidic secretory canaliculi of gastric parietal cells, transforming into an active sulfonamide that binds covalently to the luminal cysteines of the enzyme system. This blocks both basal and meal-stimulated hydrochloric acid output at the final enzymatic step. How to Use

• Administration Rule: Swallow tablets whole with water. Do not crush, chew, split, or break the tablet, as damaging the enteric coating causes acid degradation of pantoprazole in the stomach.
