Polygynax Vaginal Capsules

Polygynax is a local gynecological anti-infective soft vaginal capsule indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of non-specific vaginitis, mixed bacterial infections, and vulvovaginal candidiasis. It combines two complementary bactericidal antibiotics with a potent polyene antifungal: Neomycin Sulphate (an aminoglycoside active against aerobic Gram-negative and select Gram-positive pathogens by inhibiting protein synthesis via the 30S ribosomal subunit), Polymyxin B Sulphate (a polypeptide detergent that disrupts phospholipid membrane permeability in resistant Gram-negative bacilli), and Nystatin (a polyene antifungal that binds membrane ergosterol, forming lethal pores in Candida cells). Dispersed in a dimethicone-based lubricating matrix, the soft capsule coats the vaginal mucosa, soothing inflamed tissue while clearing polymicrobial pathogens.

How to Use

• Wash hands thoroughly before opening and inserting the capsule.

• Insert 1 capsule deeply into the vagina at bedtime, preferably in a lying-down position with knees bent.

• Wear a panty liner to protect undergarments from melted capsule residue; avoid internal tampons during treatment.

• Avoid sexual intercourse during the active treatment period; the formulation weakens and may tear latex condoms and contraceptive diaphragms.

• Complete the full prescribed course without interruption, even if menstruation begins.
