Ganaton 50MG 100 Tablets
DESCRIPTION
Ganaton 50 mg is a gastroprokinetic pharmaceutical agent formulated to treat gastrointestinal symptoms associated with reduced gastric motility and delayed gastric emptying. Containing Itopride Hydrochloride as its active ingredient, it exerts a dual mechanism of action by antagonizing dopamine D2 receptors and inhibiting acetylcholinesterase (AChE). This dual effect enhances the release of acetylcholine and prevents its breakdown in the gut wall, leading to accelerated gastric emptying, increased lower esophageal sphincter tone, and improved gastroduodenal coordination. Ganaton is widely prescribed for the relief of functional dyspepsia, upper abdominal fullness, early satiety, epigastric discomfort, bloating, nausea, and heartburn. Packaged in a box containing 100 film-coated tablets.
Key Benefits
-
Dual Prokinetic Action: Blocks dopamine D2 receptors and inhibits acetylcholinesterase to increase acetylcholine availability and stimulate digestive tract peristalsis.
-
Accelerates Gastric Emptying: Enhances stomach contractions to clear gastric contents faster, relieving early satiety and postprandial heaviness.
-
Relieves Functional Dyspepsia: Alleviates chronic upper abdominal pain, post-meal bloating, and gastric discomfort.
-
Mild Antiemetic Effect: Exerts central and peripheral action to suppress nausea, retching, and vomiting associated with impaired gastric motility.
-
Favorable Safety Profile: Does not cross the blood-brain barrier significantly, minimizing the risk of central nervous system and extrapyramidal side effects.
