Augmentin Suspension

Augmentin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic containing a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. This combination helps fight bacterial infections and inhibits enzymes produced by some bacteria that contribute to antibiotic resistance, enhancing amoxicillin's effectiveness against a wide range of bacteria.

Ingredients:

• Amoxicillin: A penicillin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall formation.
  
• Clavulanic acid: Helps combat the beta-lactamase enzyme produced by some bacteria to resist antibiotics.Indications:

Augmentin is used to treat a range of bacterial infections, such as:

• Respiratory tract infections (sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis).
• Middle ear infections.
• Skin and soft tissue infections.
• Urinary tract infections.

Directions for Use:

Shake the suspension well before each use.
The dosage depends on the child's age and weight and must be determined by a doctor.
The medication is usually taken two to three times daily with food to reduce stomach irritation.
