Sevikar is a combination medication that brings together Olmesartan Medoxomil and Amlodipine Besylate. It is used to treat high blood pressure in adults that is not adequately controlled with a single medication. It helps reduce the risk of stroke, heart attacks, and other cardiovascular complications.

Mechanism of Action:

Olmesartan: Acts as an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB), helping to relax blood vessels and reduce blood pressure.

Amlodipine: Belongs to the class of calcium channel blockers. It reduces the tension in smooth muscles within blood vessels, leading to lower blood pressure and improved blood flow.
