Incresync
DESCRIPTION
Incresync 25/15 – Complete Drug Overview (Alogliptin 25 mg + Pioglitazone 15 mg)
What is Incresync 25/15?
Incresync 25/15 is a combination oral medication used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains two active ingredients:
• Alogliptin 25 mg – a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances incretin levels, boosting insulin secretion and reducing glucagon production after meals.
• Pioglitazone 15 mg – a thiazolidinedione that improves insulin sensitivity in muscle and liver tissues, helping lower blood glucose.
Indications:
• Used to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes, especially when:
• Diet and exercise alone are insufficient.
• Single-agent therapy is no longer effective.
• Suitable as a dual therapy for patients needing a simplified treatment regimen.
Warnings and Precautions:
• Not indicated for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
• Use with caution in patients with heart failure or hepatic impairment.
• May cause weight gain or fluid retention.
Dosage and Administration:
• One tablet taken once daily, with or without food.
• It’s recommended to take it at the same time each day for consistent blood sugar control.
Incresync 25/30 – Complete Drug Overview (Alogliptin 25 mg + Pioglitazone 30 mg)
What is Incresync 25/30?
Incresync 25/30 is a higher-dose version of the same dual-action therapy, designed for patients requiring stronger control of blood sugar. It contains:
• Alogliptin 25 mg
• Pioglitazone 30 mg
This formulation is ideal for patients whose diabetes is not adequately managed on lower doses.
Indications:
• Helps manage chronic hyperglycemia in adults with type 2 diabetes.
• Suitable as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic medications.
• Especially useful in patients with insulin resistance requiring higher Pioglitazone dosage.
Warnings and Side Effects:
• Similar to the 25/15 version, but with a higher risk of weight gain and fluid retention due to the increased Pioglitazone content.
• Regular liver function and heart monitoring is advised.
Dosage and Administration:
• One tablet daily, taken orally. Dose adjustments may be necessary based on blood glucose monitoring and patient response.
