Micardis Plus

Micardis Plus 40/12.5 mg – 80/12.5 mg – 80/25 mg

Micardis Plus is an effective medication for treating high blood pressure. It combines two active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure and protect the heart and blood vessels from complications:

• Telmisartan: An Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) that works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

• Hydrochlorothiazide: A diuretic that helps lower blood pressure by reducing excess fluid and sodium in the body.

This combination makes it suitable for patients who have not achieved an adequate response using Telmisartan alone.

 Uses:

• Treatment of high blood pressure (Hypertension).

• Reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks.

• Controls blood pressure in patients who are unresponsive to monotherapy.

 Available Strengths:

• Micardis Plus 40 mg / 12.5 mg

• Micardis Plus 80 mg / 12.5 mg

• Micardis Plus 80 mg / 25 mg

 How to Use:

• Take once daily with or without food.

• You must follow your doctor's instructions and not change the dose without consulting them.

 Warnings:

• Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney conditions.

• Monitor blood pressure and kidney function regularly.

• Consult your doctor before using, especially if you are taking other medications like diuretics or heart medications.

 Drug Interactions:

• Potassium supplements or diuretics.

• Heart and kidney medications.
