Tobrex Eye Ointment contains the antibiotic Tobramycin and is used to treat bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis and blepharitis. Its long-lasting formula makes it ideal for nighttime use.

What is Tobrex Eye Ointment?

Tobrex Eye Ointment is an antibiotic ophthalmic ointment containing Tobramycin 0.3%, a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic.

It is used to treat bacterial eye infections and to prevent infection after eye surgeries. Its ointment base provides longer-lasting protection compared to eye drops, making it particularly suitable for nighttime application.

Active Ingredient:

 • Tobramycin 0.3% – A powerful antibiotic that stops the growth of bacteria causing eye infections.

 Indications for Use:

 • Bacterial Conjunctivitis

 • Blepharitis (eyelid inflammation)

 • Bacterial Keratitis (corneal infection)

 • Post-injury or post-surgical bacterial eye infections

 • Infection prevention in special medical cases (as prescribed by a doctor)

Warnings & Precautions:

 • May cause temporary blurred vision after application – avoid driving immediately afterward.

 • Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.
