Gynera Tablets: Combined Hormonal Contraception

Gynera is a combined hormonal contraceptive containing two active ingredients:

• Ethinyl Estradiol 30 micrograms: A synthetic estrogen hormone.

• Gestodene 75 micrograms: A synthetic progesterone hormone.

The medication works by preventing ovulation, changing the uterine lining, and increasing the thickness of cervical mucus, which prevents sperm from reaching the egg and thus prevents pregnancy. In addition to its contraceptive effect, it is also effective in regulating the menstrual cycle and reducing associated symptoms.

Uses:

• Contraception (preventing pregnancy).

• Regulating the menstrual cycle.

• Reducing period pain or heavy bleeding.

• May sometimes be used to treat acne and hormonal disorders under medical supervision.

How to Use:

• Take one tablet daily at the same time for 21 days.

• This is followed by a 7-day break without tablets, during which your period will occur.

• For the first time, start using the tablets on the first day of your menstrual cycle.

Warnings:

• Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• It is contraindicated in cases of:

  • Blood clots or a history of them.

  • Liver diseases.

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure.

• Consult a doctor immediately if you experience:

  • Severe or persistent migraine.

  • Vision problems.

  • Pain or swelling in the leg.
